Let Me Check My Calendar
“We don’t attend worship to squeeze God into our lives; we seek to meld our lives into God’s.” – Bishop Robert Schnase
This Sunday we take a good look at Passionate Worship – a term not bound by setting or style; not limited to what we do; and certainly not based on a decision made after checking our calendar for other priorities. Passionate worship is sacred time and space in which we deliberately meet God as individuals and as community. Passionate Worship is what God does. God transforms lives, heals wounded souls, renews hope, shapes decisions, provokes change, inspires compassion, and binds people together.
Worship defines God’s people. “Let my people go, so that they may worship me.” (Exodus 8:1). Worship bends hearts toward God as it stretches hands outward toward others – Love God and one another. (Luke 10:27). In worship God pardons sin, restores relationships and changes lives.
Come and worship this Sunday and every Sunday, and see what God wants to do in your life.
